Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

Making Chocolate-Covered Pretzels is easy and perfect for gifting! They’re sweet, salty, and can be decorated for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • Pretzel rods or mini pretzels
  • Dark chocolate or white chocolate (use good quality chocolate or chocolate melting wafers for the best results)
  • Sprinkles, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or crushed peppermint for decoration

Materials Needed:

  • Baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler for melting chocolate
  • Spoon or fork for coating the pretzels

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chocolate
    • Microwave Method: Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 15–20 second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted.
    • Double Boiler Method: Melt chocolate over a double boiler by placing a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water and stirring until smooth.
  2. Dip the Pretzels
    • Hold a pretzel rod or mini pretzel by one end and dip it into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the rod or the entire mini pretzel.
    • Lift and gently shake off any excess chocolate.
  3. Add Toppings
    • Place the dipped pretzels on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    • While the chocolate is still wet, add your choice of toppings: sprinkles, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or crushed peppermint.
  4. Let Set
    • Allow the pretzels to set at room temperature, or place them in the fridge for quicker setting.
  5. Package and Gift
Once set, package them in decorative treat bags, small boxes, or mason jars. Tie with a ribbon for a festive touch!

Tip: For a marbled look, drizzle dark chocolate over white chocolate-dipped pretzels or vice versa. Enjoy giving these delicious treats!
