Eggnog

Eggnog
Ingredients:

4 cups milk
5 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup bourbon or rum (optional)
Instructions:
Whisk eggs and sugar in a bowl.
In a saucepan, heat milk until simmering. Slowly whisk the milk into the egg mixture, then return to the pan.
Stir in vanilla, nutmeg, and cream. Chill and add liquor if desired.
