An old and very traditional part of the holiday season, hot buttered rum has been around for centuries.
Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
2 oz dark rum
Hot water
Instructions:
Mix butter, sugar, and spices into a paste.
Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the mix into a mug, pour rum, and top with hot water. Stir and enjoy.
