How to Make a Fabric Angel for Christmas Decorations

Fabric angels are a delightful addition to your Christmas décor, adding a soft, handmade touch to your tree or mantle. These angels can be customized with different fabrics and trims to match your holiday theme.

Materials Needed:

Fabric (cotton or felt work well)
Small Styrofoam or wooden ball (for the head)
Ribbon or lace
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Gold or silver pipe cleaner (for the halo)
Needle and thread (optional)
Instructions:

Cut the Fabric: Cut a piece of fabric into a square, about 10×10 inches. This will be the angel’s dress. You can use any color or pattern you like, though white or gold are traditional.

Create the Head: Place the Styrofoam or wooden ball in the center of the fabric square. Gather the fabric around the ball, forming the angel’s head, and secure it with a piece of ribbon or thread just below the ball.

Form the Dress: Let the remaining fabric hang down to form the angel’s dress. You can leave it as is for a flowing look or gather and sew it at the bottom for a more tailored appearance.

Add Wings: Cut two small pieces of lace or ribbon and glue them to the back of the angel to create wings. You can also use a small piece of tulle for a more ethereal effect.

Make the Halo: Shape a small piece of gold or silver pipe cleaner into a halo and attach it to the top of the angel’s head using a dab of hot glue.

Finish the Angel: If desired, add small embellishments like beads, sequins, or a tiny bow at the neck. Your fabric angel is now ready to adorn your Christmas tree or become part of a festive centerpiece.

These fabric angels are a quick and charming project that can be customized in countless ways, making them perfect for gift-giving or adding a personal touch to your holiday décor.
