A paper Christmas tree is a simple and fun decoration that can add a festive touch to any room. It’s also a great craft project for kids and adults alike.
Materials Needed:
Green construction paper or cardstock
Scissors
Glue stick or double-sided tape
Ruler
Pencil
Star sticker or cutout (optional)
Small beads or sequins (optional)
Instructions:
Create the Tree Shape: Start by folding a piece of green construction paper in half. Draw a half-tree shape along the fold, making sure to include branches. The tree can be as simple or as intricate as you like. Once you’re satisfied with the shape, cut it out.
Make Additional Layers: To give your tree a 3D effect, cut additional layers of tree shapes in varying sizes. Each layer should be slightly smaller than the previous one. You can create 2-4 layers depending on how full you want the tree to look.
Assemble the Tree: Starting with the largest tree shape, apply a thin line of glue along the center fold and press it onto a flat surface. Layer the next largest shape on top, aligning the center folds. Continue until all the layers are glued in place. Fan out the branches to create a dimensional effect.
Add a Star and Decorations: If desired, place a star sticker or cutout at the top of the tree. You can also glue small beads or sequins onto the branches to mimic ornaments.
Display Your Tree: Once the glue is dry, your paper Christmas tree is ready to be displayed. It’s perfect for a mantle, bookshelf, or as a centerpiece on your holiday table.
This paper Christmas tree is an easy and festive decoration that adds a handmade touch to your holiday décor.
